For those of you trying to find new ways to educate your community about tech-related topics, consider the ready-made workshops you can access by becoming a Grow with Google partner.

The Grow with Google partner program is free for librarians to use for public workshops. Getting started is easy and does not bind you or the library to any obligations. After signing up, you will see:

From the link to “Explore resources for all audiences,” start by selecting an audience. There are guides and information about common questions asked by workshop participants and general instructions for getting started.

Note that there is often both a presentation and accompanying handout…

Let’s see what a presentation looks like:

And when you go into presentation view, you see all of the speaker notes prepared for you by Google, making the act of giving a presentation pretty simple!

Tip: Be sure to thoroughly read through the entire presentation to make sure it is the right fit for those you are trying to reach.

Google also provides promotional materials in form of press releases, flyers, social media posts, and graphics. And once you create a workshop, you can shop — for free — at the Google store for workshop materials.

Once you host an activity, please share your experience with other NH public librarians!
